Treat the soil, not the plant…

Thanks to a blog reader/Facebook friend, I read an EXCELLENT article published in today’s edition of the “Huffington Post” and written by Mark Hyman, MD, a practicing physician.

He starts off with “Conventional medicine has lost its battle with cancer” and proceeds to make so many interesting and compelling points that I am feeling a bit overwhelmed right now. Anyway, I strongly urge you to read this article and post any comments/thoughts here, if you have the time and desire to do so, of course: http://tinyurl.com/3ajknwa

Ah, what a welcome breath of fresh air…!!!

  1. Hi Margaret,

A very interesting article and likely very correct. A major problem I see with the whole concept is that it is far removed from what is currently considered mainstream medicine and consequently a large majority of people/patients are never even going to hear about it from their doctors and unfortunately, I am afraid this will be the case for the majority for a long time to come since research in this area as well as study funding is likely to be very limited. The major portion of study funding generally seems to be applied toward patentable medicine……..at least the better studies that are able to reach a validated and usable conclusion. Call me a pessimist, but I think there is too much money to be made in treating cancer symptoms, and that will always be a hindrance to studies that look for ways to eliminate cancer.

To me, you are essentially doing what is suggested in that article on a real time basis with easily reviewed results and you have been doing it for years!!! For that, Margaret, you are to be congratulated and I am truly appreciative of your efforts, both in your research as well as your testing and reporting of those tests and results!!!
In my eyes, you are way ahead on the learning curve and are more of what I would consider cutting edge in that you have been looking at disease pathways as well as what natural substances act as inhibitors or agonists of those pathways. All of this in usable “near real time” reporting!
Articles like the one you posted are informative, but my feeling is that they will take years or decades before they produce the the type of useful information that you have already been doing for years………that is unless I completely misunderstood the article.
