I really have no clear idea as to what a “webinar” is, but here goes anyway: on Tuesday, May 17, between 1 and 2:30 PM (EDT), the National Cancer Institute will be hosting a webinar (?) titled: “Is Curcumin the Spice of Life? A Look at Cancer Prevention Evidence.” One of the presenters is Prof. Bharat Aggarwal, a name that should be very familiar to most of us by now.
You can read a bit more about it and register here: http://goo.gl/iHG93 By the way, if anyone knows how webinars work…for example, if you have to pay to attend and so on, I wouldn’t mind learning something new…Thanks! 🙂
(Sometimes I feel a bit like a dinosaur… 😉 ).
Hi Margaret,
The webinar is free, you just register via the link. At the time of the webinar, you go to the link that I’m sure they’ll send you after you register, and you enter your name and whatever info it requests (passcode or email or something) and then you just watch live. They can’t hear you, but you watch as it’s happening on your computer. Oftentimes, you can chat in a side bar and ask live questions. Hope this helps!

Download the plug in for Explorer or whatever web browser you are using and log on the link they give you 20 -30 min before just to make sure all is working. There’s a phone # so if your link doesn’t work you can listen by phone. Thanks for the heads up- remember that 1:00 EDT needs to be converted to your time zone and use the access codes they give you.
too bad, I missed this webinar.. Hi margaret, did you make it? were you able to attend the webinar?
regards,
Lanie
