Today’s post title is a quote by Jon Kabat-Zinn that I really liked…As I liked this one:
You can’t stop the waves, but you can learn to surf.
Yeah! (Not that you’d ever catch me on a surfboard, mind you…)
Oh, speaking of waves, earlier this afternoon I came across a new FDA safety announcement about the risk of kidney (renal) failure in patients on an osteoporosis treatment drug called Reclast, which is zoledronic acid. Now, since a lot of myeloma patients take Zometa, which is also zoledronic acid (!), I thought I should publish the link to this FDA warning: http://goo.gl/bTWZg
Boyohboy…
When I remember certain things, sometimes it is just a moment… and would have been lost except for what followed it, making it a moment-ous spot in time. Anyhow, it’s like remembering the phone call that I got telling me my relative had MM… I don’t remember the words that followed “I have something to tell you and don’t interrupt me,” but I remember hearing that… curious, isn’t it?
I believe I have mentioned before that I take AHCC
in the morning on an empty stomach (2 caps) –It is expensive and I believe that I should be taking 2 more caps before bed– however monetary concerns prevail at this point!
Recently, I have included 3 caps of Australagus in my regimen as well. (supposedly helps to produce Interferon).
I also take 8,000 mg of curcumin w/bioperine each night with either cod liver oil, borage oil or flaxseed oil cap.
next labs: early Oct. –so we’ll see what’s happening.
Going into my 6th year of smoldering !!
WOW
I only take 1,000mg and nothing else.
I should prpbbly increase it and add more ‘things’
